What’s the difference between company freight and load board freight? As an owner-operator, you can sign on with a carrier to haul their freight, or you can choose to be an independent owner-operator and haul load board freight.

As the vice president of operations at ATS, I’ll talk about the pros and cons of leasing on with a company as an owner-operator or running under your own authority. I’ll talk about how much support you will or will not receive and what the job will look like. Most importantly, I’ll talk about the kind of freight you can haul.

I’ll also explain who is and isn’t a good fit for both options.
