Have you ever applied for a trucking job and been denied because you weren’t in their hiring area? It was probably pretty frustrating – especially if you don’t understand why hiring areas exist.
I’ve been in the trucking industry for two decades and I’ll explain the three primary reasons trucking companies have hiring areas. The reasons are:
- Home time
- Cost and earnings
- Customer expectations
