Truck drivers can be disqualified or turned down for trucking jobs for several reasons. Common issues include serious moving violations, license suspensions, lack of verifiable experience, an expired DOT medical card, truck abandonment, certain criminal history, and failed drug or alcohol tests. Living outside a carrier's hiring area can also prevent you from qualifying for a specific driving job.
